So you all know, I am not paid by Blue Diamond or anyone at all, for that matter, to talk about how much I enjoy their products. I will, however, say that this was another find that knocked my socks off.
I saw this and almost fell to my knees in excitement. This is perfect for oatmeal and in my coffee. It has enough sweet that you don’t need to add anything else (Ok, I still add a tiny bit of Stevia in the Raw to my coffee)
I have yet to bake with this yet, but I suspect it will be just like using any other kind of milk. This weekend I plan on getting my bake on (after our much needed and extremely dreaded trip to Ikea) so I will be able to let you know how it works.
Training update:
I hate the elliptical machine. However, I realize it’s essential for me to keep the pressure off my knee … so I’ve decided to “court” the elliptical. Get to know it a little better and maybe, eventually, learn to even l..l..lov..ok maybe just like it.
Wednesday we took it slow. I used it for 20 minutes with one minute fast/slow intervals. Then I did some crazy abs workout with my co-worker Craig. Thursday, I took a little more time with the elliptical. I got to understand the settings a little more and tried raising the resistance as much as I could without hurting my knee. One thing I don’t like about the elliptical is the fact that it has those damn arm things. I don’t like to use them because I feel like it’s taking away from my natural stride, but every time I try to move my arm (to rub my eye, fix my hair or adjust my earbuds) the stupid arm thing wacks me in my elbow. But, it’s all part of learning to understand each other and with time, I will get used to it.
It’s just not the same though.
Anyway, back to the milk. Have you guys tried the milk alternatives yet? What do you think?
I tried that coconut/almond blend and I love it! Had it in my oatmeal all week last week
Now I am trying the So Delicious Almond with protein.
I dislike the elliptical and those arms thingies too. I really like the Arc trainer. . . hard to find those though.
Arc trainer, that’s what it’s called! We have those too and I used it on Wednesday for a little bit but it was uncomfortable for me. So Delicious Almond with protein?? I haven’t seen that one yet …. how does it compare to the Almond Breeze?
I like it. It’s a little thinner than Almond Breeze, but that’s not an issue for me. The taste is good. It does have 8 grams of sugar which I could do without. It has rice and pea protein . . . 5 grams per serving. I like the So Delicious brand coconut milk too.
Good to know. I don’t like the So Delicious coconut milk though. It’s way too watery for me. It almost taste like water with a ‘hint’ of coconut. That might change my opinion on trying their Almond milk. Thanks for letting me know!
